I’m Philippine… well, Philippina!

It all started long before the brand was created.

I was lucky enough to learn how to sew thanks to my grandmother, and I have always loved creating, tinkering, imagining, and making things with my own two hands.

A few years later, I went to study in Latin America. Over there, everyone called me Philippina.

When I was looking for a name for my brand, the choice was therefore quite obvious. I thought it would also be very practical for separating my professional life from my personal life.

Well… that strategy completely failed: today, everyone calls me Philippina!

From the office to the studio

In 2023, after Covid and a few years spent behind a computer, I wanted to change my life.

I simply wasn't happy anymore with what I was doing. I needed to get back to something more concrete, to create, to work with my hands, and above all, to build a project that reflects who I am.

So I took the plunge.

Philippina Création was born in Antibes, on the French Riviera.

Today, I imagine and sew my creations myself in my studio. I especially love working with reclaimed fabrics, scraps, fabric remnants, and all those lovely materials I’ve found over time that I can give a new life to.

I create in unique pieces or very small batches, according to my finds and my inspiration.

And since then…

Between the studio, the markets, new ideas, and days where nothing goes exactly as planned, entrepreneurship is obviously not easy every day.

But I have absolutely no regrets.

I am happy to have a job I love today, and even more so to see my creations leave my Antibes studio to live their own lives.

Some have gone only a few kilometers away, others much further… and today, Philippina creations travel all over the world.

And when I look back on my decision to take the plunge in 2023, that always moves me.
